Leadership Team

Our Leadership team consists of Elders, staff and trustees. Our elders oversee the practical and spiritual direction of the church. Our staff team oversee key areas of ministry and the practical outworking of the vision. Our trustees over see the legal elements of the church, they are also passionate about the values and visions of the church. Elders, staff and trustees work together as one team.

  • Ken Swan (Elder / Trustee)

    Ken spent twenty years in the international food, commodities and agricultural business, before leaving to become Pastor of Chase Family Church in 1980. The church had started in 1968, Ken and his wife Barbara were founder members. Ken has travelled extensively in ministry and believes in encouraging the church's responsibility for mission. Ken is also a firm believer in team ministry, having drawn others into leadership very early on in the life of the church. Ken and Barbara have three grown-up children - Jonathan, Simon and Heather and seven grandchildren.

  • Peter Tidey (Elder / Trustee)

    Peter has been part of Chase Family Church since he was born. After almost five years as a trainee elder, he was commissioned as an elder of Chase Family Church in 2014. Peter has a Law degree and has worked in the private, public and voluntary sector, he currently works as an Executive Officer in the Methodist Church. Peter has a passion for the Word of God to impact and transform people’s lives. In September 2017 Peter married Suz who is now on staff.

  • Martin Higgins (Lead Elder / Trustee)

    Martin is our senior pastor, he joined the church in 1995, he was the National Director of CIB(Christians in Business). Martin & Liz felt called to take on the youth work which they named Firestorm. In 2009 Martin became an elder of Chase Family Church and in 2012 became full time after 24 years of running his own business in recruitment. Martin has a passion for the lost and to see people Baptised in the Holy Spirit.

  • Liz Higgins (Administrator)

    Liz is married to Martin and has been at the church for many years. Liz looks after the churches accounts and some admin including leading our safeguarding team.

  • Suz Tidey (Encounter Co-Ordinator)

    Suz runs our Encounter year out programme, and also supports lots of other areas of Chase Family Church through administration and practical means - particularly helping with the Engage schools ministry. Suz joined the church in 2017 when she married Peter (Tidey) - moving from Wokingham in Berkshire where she was the Family and Youth Pastor at an Anglican church.

  • Kev Nash (Childrens Pastor)

    Kev joined the church in the summer of 2021. He was born in Enfield and moved away for the past 16 years. Kev joined our team as the Childrens Pastor, He also oversees all the technical elements of the church including our live broadcasts.

  • Peter Barnardo (Worship Pastor)

    Peter first came into contact with Chase Family Church as a teenager through a youth discipleship course run by n:flame, where he later worked with young people throughout his twenties. Peter has been a musician since he was a child, and has led worship in many different church settings since being a teenager. He is currently developing his own music as an artist, producer, and music teacher, while helping develop the worship team at Chase. He has a passion for worship to overflow into the everyday, for creativity and nurturing new giftings.

  • Andie Frost (Mission Co-Ordinator)

    Andie grew up on the Kent Coast before moving to North London to train as a youth worker. He is passionate about unity, mission, and enabling everyone in the church to embrace this in their own lives. He was a part of n:flame from its inception working with churches across North London to help them disciple young people and equip them for mission, to be evangelists wherever they went. With his wife Sue, they put the teaching into action and spent five years living and serving at an evangelical school in Lebanon.

    They are now based in North London again. Sue is working in a local primary school and Andie is supporting and building CFCs mission initiatives both locally and abroad. He is also leading Engage, a cross church team of volunteers working in secondary schools across Enfield. Sue and Andie have three grown up sons and are enjoying being grandparents!

  • Mick Le Baigue (Trustee)

    Mick Le Baigue and his wife Mary joined the Church in 1974 and served as an Elder/Children’s Pastor for many years after a career in industrial sales. He retired in July 2014 and moved to Reading where he and Mary are active members of Reading Family Church. They have a daughter and son in law round the corner with three grandchildren and a younger daughter and son in law in Hove Sussex. Mick was delighted to be asked to retain his Trusteeship when he moved and feels honoured to be allowed to serve.

  • Helen Nicolas (Trustee)

    Helen was involved in a House Church for 20 years which was based in her home. Here she learned from the Lord about Loving and serving. During this time the Lord brought everybody and anybody who needed to know about His love.

    She joined the Church Family Church in 2014 and quickly knew that this is where she belonged and wanted to love and serve the Church. One way of doing this was being a Trustee and being able to bring her financial background of 30 years with me.

    She have 3 grown up children and 6 grandchildren who keep me very busy but are a delight
