CRAFT GROUP

The Chase Family Church craft group meets monthly at our centre. Come and learn about and try out various crafts, mostly different techniques for making cards. Friendships, refreshments and an occasional chance to hear of what our Christian faith is about are all there in the mix

Shortly before I was given redundancy and early retirement a church member gave me a handmade card which fascinated me. I went to some 200 classes locally, a few in Las Vegas (!), and another 200 on YouTube when the pandemic started. I learnt various card making techniques - if you know how to make cards you don't necessarily have to be artistic. And that is how I came to lead the craft group making cards. On a personal note it's kept me occupied and given me new friends: to me it has been a real gift from the Lord.
