David and Alison Gray oversee the House Groups encouraging and supporting the Group leaders. They organise regular meetings and training for group leaders, and work with the Elders to help this aspect of church life grow and expand.
If you would like to join a group, please contact a group leader, David Gray or one of the elders.
The Midday Group
The Midday group, led by Adrian and Mary Green, meets at 12:30 on alternate Wednesday lunchtimes at the Chase Family Church Centre (please see the church calendar
for dates). Attendees are encourage to bring their own sandwiches, but tea, coffee and often grapes are provided. There is time for Bible study led by various group members, prayer, worship and socialising. People who are less free in the evenings may find these sessions more conducive to their lifestyle.
The Ladies Group, led by Enid, meets on alternate Tuesday evenings at 8:00, please check the church calendar
The Grange Park Group
The Grange Park group, led by Lesley and Vicky, meets on a Thursday evening at 8:00. The group has been reading through the Bible for about four years. The group is lively and we enthusiastically share diverse opinions as we discuss what God is saying to us through His word. Sometimes we can be a bit serious about our study, but more often than not we leave having had a great time, having laughed, read, shared and prayed. We fellowship together each Thursday and continue to love, support and pray for one another through the week. If you’d like to join us, please come.
The Potters Bar Housegroup
The Potters Bar House Group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting at 8 p.m. with a cup of tea or coffee and some cake. The group enjoys an informal, flexible approach, praising the Lord and learning the Word through teaching and discussion. The group is hosted and led by Helen Nicolas and is a lovely (and lively!) mix of new and more mature Christians, able to support and pray for each other as we continue in our individual and corporate walk with the Lord. If you are interested in joining this group, please speak to David or Alison Gray in the first instance, as they oversee the house groups within Chase.
The Cheshunt Housegroup
The Cheshunt Group meets every Wednesday evening at 8pm and is led by Derek and Sue Johnson. We start with tea/coffee and generally have a time of Bible study although we sometimes do this with a difference through ‘story-telling’ – reviewing and unpacking a Bible story as if we were spectators at the scene. This often seems to generate a lot of discussion, with everyone keen to participate. We always finish with a time of prayer, and have been encouraged to see how, over time, many of our prayers have been answered.
The Willow Estate Housegroup
Run by Mark and Pauline Sharman. The Willow Estate Housegroup meets every second Wednesday at 8pm at Pauline & Mark's house. We open God’s Word and study it, seeing what we can gain from it and how to apply the principles to our lives. This is usually both interesting and fun, followed up by a time of catching up with each other, caring for each other and praying for God’s blessing in our lives.
The Winchmore Hill Housegroup
The Winchmore Hill Housegroup is headed up by Peter and Jen Cody along with Jason and Elizabeth Sanchez. They are starting off by meeting fortnightly (however this may change in the new year) with the objective to share what God is doing with the group's lives and to pray for and encourage eachother to move more in spiritual gifts.
20's and 30's Housegroup
Run by Peter and Suzanne Tidey. Our group is for 20 and 30 somethings to meet together and encourage each other in living God's way. We meet every two weeks on a Thursday night (8.00-9.30pm) at our home in Bush Hill Park, and usually cover engaging discussion on God's word, spending time in prayer for one another and eating cake! If you're interested get in touch so we can add you to our WhatsApp group. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
