Overview

Children’s work is very important at Chase Family Church and we run groups and events aimed at various ages from pre-school right the way through to secondary school age, where children can then join in with our youth groups.  Springers, our pre-school group takes place on Tuesday mornings at Chase Family Church Centre, and our other groups take place during our Sunday morning service at Enfield Grammar Upper School.  We also run a children’s weekend away at Cuffley Camp once a year in partnership with our church plant New Life Church.

On a Sunday morning we have a full range of activities for children where the teaching and activities are at an age appropriate level.  We recommend children attend these groups as we believe they will gain greater benefit from them than they would from the adult sermon.  The only exception to this is when we hold Family Services where the children stay in the main meeting as these services are aimed at an all age audience.

At Chase Family Church  we seek to do all we can to help children on their personal spiritual journey as we believe that they are part of today's church and tomorrow's leaders.  We share, pray and have fun but take very seriously the responsibility to nurture the children temporarily in our care.

Peter Tidey has recently taken on overseeing the Children’s work at Chase Family Church, and supports the leaders in each of our children’s groups.  He organises training for group leaders and works with the other Elders to help this aspect of church life grow and expand.

If you would like to know more about the groups, please contact the church office.

Below is a brief overview of other events / groups we run for children:

Springers (Preschool):
springersbuttonSpringers runs at Chase Family Church Centre on Tuesday mornings during term time at 9.30 – 11.30am. Springers is not only for “mums & tots”, but for anyone caring for pre-schoolers.

We have a good range of toys and activities which are suitable for babies up to 3 year olds. We also do seasonal craft activities like making Christmas cards, Father’s day cards and, New Year calendars. There is always a table for the little ones to practice their drawing skills supervised by adults. We also arrange “extras” during the year like “Toy Swaps” and meeting up in the park in the summer holidays.

We currently do not have any spaces left for new comers.  However if you are interested in coming please contact Pippa Cant at springers@chasefamilychurch.com about going onto a waiting list and as soon as a space opens up we will let you know.

Springers is currently under Pippa Cant's supervision.

Kids Camp (Ages 6-10, School years 2-5):
cuffley4Each year children from Chase Family Church and New Life (Palmers Green), and their friends, spend a jam packed activity weekend away.  It's a chance to explore, play, make friends and discover more about Jesus, as they camp together in the woods.  Around the campfire the children have interactive Bible stories, games & challenges.  As well as lots of freetime to climb trees, make dens, enjoy the mudslide, assault course, 'night' walk, and hotly contested Talent Show!  The weekend is led by experienced Children's Leaders from the two churches, and has been a fixture on the church calender for over 30 years! With many (now grown up) kids fondly remembering the fun times and how God blessed them through their experiences there. This really is the eagerly awaited highlight of the year!

Children Workers

We know that going to a new church and sending your children out without knowing who the leaders are can be a bit daunting, so below you can find the leaders for the Sunday morning groups.  Pippa Cant is also one of the main leaders for Springers and the Childrens' annual trip to Cuffley Camp.  We take the well-being and safety of children and young people seriously.  All childrens and youth leaders have completed a DBS check in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy and attend Safeguarding training on a regular basis.
