Our Car

18 months ago, the day before we were due to go on holiday, our car engine blew up. We got it fixed with someone giving us some money and someone else lending us some.

 

From that point on, Sheena, myself and the children have prayed for a new car that is the maximum of 2 years old and 5/7 seater, reliable and economical.

 

6 months ago, 1 week before we were due to go on holiday, something else on the engine went wrong which meant we again had to spend our holiday money getting it fixed.

 

2 weeks ago, the engine blew again and we didn’t know what to do or where to go as I was struggling to come to terms with what God was allowing to happen to us again.

 

Then out of the blue, we were given some money from a very unlikely source.

 

Praise the Lord

 

We went to the garage and we were looking at cars that were 4 or 5 years old and the salesman went over to see his manager to see how much our old banger was worth trade in and I said to Sheena “I don’t understand this, we have prayed for 18 months for a car that was only 2 years old and he is obviously in this but we can’t afford a newer car”

 

The salesman came back and said “shame you can’t afford a little more as I have a car that is only 12 months old on a special deal”

 

That car is now parked on our driveway!!

 

This is to encourage those people who are thinking "what is God playing at, is he in charge?" "Why is God letting this happen?"

 

i was asking those questions myself and God answered them.
