Bold as Love
Picking two videos a week seems to be becoming a habit, to the point where I think I may get complaints if I only put one up! This week it's a couple of poems. The first picks up a key worship related theme for me, Creativity. We have a creative God and we are made in his image. That makes us creative people, using those creative abilities is part of our worship. By creativity I'm not just talking about the things we traditionally think of in church as worship, such as music and singing. Nor even about less traditional church worship such as dance and drama. I'm thinking about things like making spoons from green oak (thanks Phil!), making a home where people comfortable to share their lives and learn about each other and God, building a go-kart from scrap for a child, making ginger cup cakes with lemon icing (they are wonderful Amy!), fitting out Shirley Hall to be a new centre for the church. All these can be part of our worship if we do them to the praise and glory of God.
The second from the same team, CreativeDuet, speaks of love. I've included partly because it comes from the same team, partly becuase it's a great example of creativity but mostly because I like it. Like the Song of Songs it's not always clear whether it's about God or a person. I think it's a bit of both.
