Men's Breakfast

Men's Breakfasts are held three times a year and are designed to provide an opportunity for men to meet together in an informal environment where they can network and feel free to discuss their beliefs, whether they have a Christian faith, follow a different faith, or none at all.

Our speakers are Christians who have tested their convictions in the real world of business, sport, politics, and other professional fields.

The underlying rationale is, frankly, to get to know each other better, to share our dreams and frustrations, the encouragements and discouragements of our faith journey, and maybe talk about some of the things we feel most comfortable talking about with... other men!

Brian Spencer speaking on "Why do men prefer work to Church"

Brian Spencer is pastor of Gateway Freedom Church in Harlow, Essex. He spent several years working as a solicitor in 'The Circle' London firms, before spending 15 years as an equity partner in an Essex firm. Currently, he juggles his work as a pastor with running a micro-business as a notary public. He and his wife Mary were greatly helped by their experience starting in the late 90s of the 'Toronto Blessing' and they are passionate about helping christians find greater freedom, and to be equipped to follow Jesus in an effective way.
